About this Forge

What it's training, and why

De-identification is the gate on every clinical-data-sharing project, and off-the-shelf PII scrubbers miss the long tail of clinical phrasing. This Forge trains a sequence labeller on contributed, expert-redacted notes — names, dates, MRNs, locations, rare identifiers — and scores contributions by their effect on held-out recall, because in de-id a single miss is a breach. The resulting Ingot is openly runnable so smaller institutions aren't priced out.
